El n\u00famero de mujeres aprendices que asisten al Programa de Aprendizaje de Electricidad de la CEI asciende actualmente a nueve. Se trata de un gran aumento con respecto a a\u00f1os anteriores. Seg\u00fan Pace Bartling, de Titan Electric of Georgia, hay varias razones que lo explican. Muchos propietarios de empresas han trabajado con mujeres a lo largo de su carrera y saben que son tan capaces y trabajadoras como los hombres. Las actitudes est\u00e1n cambiando y las empresas parecen abiertas a contratar a personas de diversos or\u00edgenes para superar la escasez de trabajadores cualificados.  La Sra. Bartling afirma que las empresas buscan personas con una gran actitud, capacidad para trabajar en equipo y que la construcci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica ofrece una gran carrera con salarios y prestaciones excepcionales.<\/p>\n<p><br \/>Mujeres en la senda del \u00e9xito<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rosemarie Bautista<\/strong> con Putzel Electric asiste al Programa de Electricista Profesional (PEP). Tiene m\u00e1s de 11 a\u00f1os de experiencia. Su primer trabajo fue en la construcci\u00f3n de un concesionario Toyota en Duluth, Georgia.  Como nueva empleada instal\u00f3 conductos y dispositivos de iluminaci\u00f3n en el edificio.  Rosemarie cree que siempre ha tenido un talento natural para el trabajo el\u00e9ctrico y en julio de 2019 est\u00e1 lista para graduarse con el t\u00edtulo de Electricista en los 50 estados.  Despu\u00e9s de la graduaci\u00f3n Rosemarie planes para continuar la carrera por pasar a las ventas el\u00e9ctricas y la estimaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consejos para otros:<\/strong>\u00a0 Los oficios no son para todo el mundo: hay que ser diligente y estar dispuesto a asumir todas las tareas. Lo mejor de ser electricista es que no tienes que maquillarte ni decidir qu\u00e9 ponerte cada d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<a href=\"\/es\/\"https:><img class=\"\\\"wp-image-1516\" size-medium\\\" src=\"\\\"https:><\/a>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rhylea Morgan<\/strong> de MetroPower est\u00e1 empezando su carrera en el campo de la electricidad. Sigue los pasos de su padre, que tambi\u00e9n trabaja en MetroPower. Como muchos padres, anim\u00f3 a Rhylea a ser como \u00e9l y dedicarse a la electricidad. Cuando era m\u00e1s joven, Rhylea trabajaba con su padre en proyectos residenciales grapando cables Romex a montantes de madera. Rhylea quiere seguir estudiando y alg\u00fan d\u00eda trabajar como gestora de proyectos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consejos para otros:<\/strong>\u00a0 Esfu\u00e9rzate por ser un buen estudiante, \u00fanete al gremio de la electricidad y gana un buen dinero.<\/p>\n<a href=\"\/es\/\"https:><img class=\"\\\"wp-image-1517\" size-medium\\\" src=\"\\\"https:><\/a>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dominique Luckey<\/strong> con Titan Electric de Georgia tiene 4 meses de experiencia y le encanta aprender todo lo posible sobre su trabajo como aprendiz de electricista. Disfruta especialmente viendo diferentes partes de la ciudad ya que se acaba de mudar a Georgia hace unos meses. Dominique estaba cansada de trabajos mal pagados y aburridos. Encontr\u00f3 el Programa de Aprendizaje de la IEC a trav\u00e9s de un programa dise\u00f1ado para que las personas accedan a carreras mejor remuneradas. Hoy, Dominique disfruta utilizando todo tipo de herramientas el\u00e9ctricas en el trabajo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consejos para otros:<\/strong>\u00a0 Elige lo que quieres hacer y ve a por ello; no te desanimes porque la perseverancia siempre gana.<\/p>\n<a href=\"\/es\/\"https:><img class=\"\\\"size-medium\" wp-image-1518\\\" src=\"\\\"https:><\/a>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Raven Dillard <\/strong>con Titan Electric de Georgia tiene 6 meses de experiencia en el sector el\u00e9ctrico. Respondi\u00f3 a un anuncio en Internet y encontr\u00f3 su profesi\u00f3n. Su padre era carpintero, as\u00ed que ella experiment\u00f3 de primera mano c\u00f3mo el trabajo en los oficios ayuda a una persona a mantenerse a s\u00ed misma o a una familia. A Raven le gusta trabajar con las manos y estar al aire libre. Piensa dedicarse a la gesti\u00f3n de proyectos y puede que alg\u00fan d\u00eda tenga su propio negocio de electricidad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consejos para otros:<\/strong>\u00a0 El sector el\u00e9ctrico es un buen lugar para las mujeres. Actualmente asiste al 1<sup>st<\/sup> a\u00f1o de aprendizaje de electricidad, Naomi trabaj\u00f3 en unas instalaciones en las que hab\u00eda electricistas con regularidad.  Observ\u00f3 el trabajo de los electricistas y le intrig\u00f3 lo que hac\u00edan para ganarse la vida.  Darse cuenta de que quer\u00eda y necesitaba una profesi\u00f3n que le gustara la llev\u00f3 a Ritch Electric, donde ahora se est\u00e1 labrando una exitosa carrera en la construcci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica. The number of female apprentices that attend the IEC Electrical Apprenticeship Program currently stands at nine. This is a great increase over past years. Several reasons appear likely according to Pace Bartling with Titan Electric of Georgia. Many company owners have worked with women throughout their career and know that they are just as capable and hard working as men. Attitudes are changing and companies appear open to hiring people from diverse backgrounds in order to overcome the shortage of skilled workers. \u00a0Ms. Bartling states that companies are looking for people with great attitudes, the ability to work as part of a team and that electrical construction provides a great career with exceptional wages and benefits.<\/p> <p><br \/>Women on the Road to Success<\/p> <p>\u00a0<\/p> <p><strong>Rosemarie Bautista<\/strong> with Putzel Electric attends the Professional Electrician Program (PEP). She has over 11 years of experience. Her first job was building a Toyota dealership in Duluth Georgia.\u00a0 As a new employee she installed conduit and lighting devices in the building.\u00a0 Rosemarie believes she has always had a natural talent for electrical work and in July 2019 she is ready to graduate with the title of Electrician in all 50 states.\u00a0 After graduation Rosemarie plans to continue the career path by moving into electrical sales and estimating.<\/p> <p><strong>Advice for Others:<\/strong>\u00a0 The trades are not for everyone \u2013 be diligent, ready to take on all tasks. She is following in her father\u2019s footsteps who works with MetroPower as well. Like many dads he encouraged Rhylea to be like him and join the electrical trade. Rhylea worked with her dad on residential projects when she was younger by stapling romex wire to wood studs. She especially enjoys seeing different parts of the city since she just moved to Georgia a few months ago. Dominique was tired of low paying and boring jobs. She found the IEC Apprenticeship Program through a program designed to move people to better paying careers. She responded to an online ad and found her career. Her dad was a carpenter so she experienced firsthand how working in the trades helps a person provide for themselves or a family. Raven enjoys working with her hands and being outside on a regular basis. She plans to move into project management and may own her on electrical business someday.<\/p> <p><strong>Advice for Others:<\/strong>\u00a0 The electrical trade is a good place for women.
