Acabo de regresar de la Cumbre Empresarial Nacional y quer\u00eda compartir algunas cosas importantes que aprend\u00ed y que son de valor.<\/p>\n<p>En primer lugar, la C\u00e1mara de Representantes de EEUU aprob\u00f3 la PRO-Act (Ley de Protecci\u00f3n del Derecho de Organizaci\u00f3n), que contiene casi todo lo que los sindicatos quieren para organizar m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente a las empresas independientes.  Sin embargo, si los dem\u00f3cratas ganaran el Senado y mantuvieran la C\u00e1mara de Representantes, adem\u00e1s de ganar la Casa Blanca, la PRO-Act se aprobar\u00eda con toda seguridad.  Por eso es importante participar a nivel nacional y por eso deber\u00eda considerar asistir a la Conferencia Legislativa Nacional en DC del 28 al 30 de abril (IECI.org para inscribirse).<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n me enter\u00e9 de que los Planes de Ahorro 529 que muchos padres utilizan para ahorrar para la educaci\u00f3n de sus hijos ahora se pueden utilizar para los libros y la matr\u00edcula del Programa de Aprendizaje del IEC.  Este es un gran punto de venta a los padres cuando se habla con ellos acerca de la educaci\u00f3n de sus hijos, y tambi\u00e9n da m\u00e1s validez a nuestro programa de aprendizaje.<\/p>\n<p>El Secretario de Trabajo, Eugene Scalia, se dirigi\u00f3 a los asistentes a la conferencia y IEC Atlanta fue el \u00fanico cap\u00edtulo que mencion\u00f3 en su discurso por nuestro trabajo con la comunidad local y Goodwill Industries.  Tambi\u00e9n pas\u00f3 a proporcionar cifras muy significativas con respecto a la iniciativa del presidente Trump con respecto a las regulaciones gubernamentales.  Por cada una de las nuevas regulaciones, el gobierno federal ha implementado que han eliminado siete, por lo que es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil para las peque\u00f1as empresas para llevar a cabo negocios.<\/p>\n<p>Como miembro del Comit\u00e9 Nacional de Membres\u00eda de la CEI, se nos proporcion\u00f3 el crecimiento de los cap\u00edtulos de la CEI en los \u00faltimos cuatro a\u00f1os y estoy muy orgulloso de informar que de 52 cap\u00edtulos, Atlanta fue el n\u00famero 4 con 46% de crecimiento y Georgia fue 11<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a1con un crecimiento de 36%! You Need to Know!<br \/>By: Niel Dawson, IEC Atlanta \/ GA Executive Director<\/strong><\/h5> <p>2020 is off to a great start at the Atlanta, IEC State and National levels!\u00a0 Having just come back from the National Business Summit, I wanted to share a few important things that I learned that are of value.<\/p> <p>First, the US House passed the PRO-Act (Protecting Right to Organize Act), which has just about everything the union wants to more easily organize independent companies.\u00a0 This went very closely along party lines and currently has no chance of passing the Senate, however, if the Democrats were to win the Senate and keep the House, along with winning the White House, then the PRO-Act would certainly pass.\u00a0 This is why it is important to get involved at the National level and why you should consider attending the National Legislative Conference in DC on April 28-30 (IECI.org to register)<\/p> <p>I also learned that the 529 Savings Plans that many parents use to save for their kid\u2019s education can now be used for IEC\u2019s Apprenticeship Program books and tuition.\u00a0 This is a great selling points to parents when talking with them about their children\u2019s education, and also gives more validity to our apprenticeship program.<\/p> <p>The Secretary of Labor, Eugene Scalia, addressed the attendees at the conference and IEC Atlanta was the only chapter that he mentioned in his speech for our work with the local community and Goodwill Industries.\u00a0 He also went on to provide very significant numbers regarding President Trump\u2019s initiative regarding government regulations.\u00a0 For every one new regulations, the Federal government has implemented they have eliminated seven, thus making it easier for small business to conduct business.<\/p> <p>Serving on the National IEC Membership Committee, we were provided with the growth of IEC chapters over the last four years and I\u2019m very proud to report that out of 52 chapters, Atlanta was number 4 with 46% growth and Georgia was 11<sup>th<\/sup> at 36% growth!\u00a0 The national average growth of members by chapter was 13%, with a high of 100% and a low of -33%.<\/p>
