El objetivo es un candidato motivado, fiable, dispuesto a aprender y a trabajar.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>En el camino para conseguirlo, una fuente de trabajadores es trabajar con el Departamento de Asuntos de Veteranos de Estados Unidos.  Seg\u00fan el representante del VA, Bartholomew Huff, cada semana hay entre 25 y 30 veteranos en busca de empleo.  Se trata de una gran oportunidad para ayudar a un veterano y conseguir un buen trabajador, ya que los veteranos suelen considerarse fiables y con una gran \u00e9tica de trabajo.  La contrataci\u00f3n de un veterano tambi\u00e9n puede venir con cr\u00e9ditos fiscales de hasta $9,600 durante un a\u00f1o y la asistencia mediante la subvenci\u00f3n del salario para ayudar a mantener un salario competitivo para los veteranos en un mercado competitivo. Este programa es un programa de pre-aprendizaje el\u00e9ctrico para el personal militar en servicio activo, que los prepara para comenzar una carrera en la industria el\u00e9ctrica.  Una vez m\u00e1s se encuentran trabajadores dedicados que se procesan a trav\u00e9s de un canal que prepara y alimenta a los candidatos en la industria el\u00e9ctrica.  Para encontrar un graduado de este programa p\u00f3ngase en contacto con Cole Ross al 478-218-3914.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, IEC est\u00e1 poniendo en marcha su Programa de Formaci\u00f3n para Nuevos Trabajadores como un paso m\u00e1s para los solicitantes interesados en trabajar con un contratista de IEC.  Los candidatos aprenden seguridad de herramientas y materiales, uso de herramientas y todo lo necesario para empezar a trabajar desde el primer d\u00eda.  Este programa es para los solicitantes, as\u00ed como para los empleados de los contratistas de IEC a los que les gustar\u00eda prepararse m\u00e1s antes de permitirles entrar en el campo sin estar preparados.  IEC puede enviar un formador a las instalaciones del contratista, hacer que los nuevos trabajadores asistan a nuestras instalaciones de formaci\u00f3n, o los contratistas pueden suscribirse al m\u00f3dulo y formar a sus propios trabajadores in situ.  El primero de los graduados de este programa estar\u00e1 en el IEC el 5 de marzo.<sup>th<\/sup> feria de empleo. CEFGA cuenta con el programa Construction Ready, que es un \"programa de formaci\u00f3n de cuatro semanas al estilo campamento de entrenamiento dise\u00f1ado para los residentes del \u00e1rea metropolitana de Atlanta.\"  Construction Ready ha ayudado a formar y colocar a m\u00e1s de 1.000 graduados en carreras de construcci\u00f3n a tiempo completo.  Los candidatos al campo de la electricidad procedentes de Construction Ready pueden convertirse en valiosos empleados.<\/p>\n<p>La clave aqu\u00ed es que no hay una sola manera de encontrar al mejor trabajador, hay muchos caminos que tomar cuando el IEC asume esta tarea. Adjustments to Help Meet Contractor Workforce Needs<\/strong><\/h2> <h5>By: Marie Thornton, IEC Atlanta\/GA Membership and Marketing Coordinator<\/h5> <p>IEC has a new strategy for recruiting workers that moves away from quantity to pre-qualified workers.\u00a0 The goal is a candidate that is motivated, dependable, ready to learn and ready to work.\u00a0<\/p> <p>On the path to accomplish this, one source for workers is to work with the US Department of Veteran Affairs.\u00a0 According to VA representative Bartholomew Huff, there are 25 to 30 veterans weekly looking for employment.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity to help a veteran and gain a good worker because Veterans generally are considered to be dependable with a high work ethic.\u00a0 Hiring a veteran also can come with tax credits up to $9,600 over a year and assistance by subsidizing salary to help maintain a competitive salary for veterans in a competitive market.\u00a0 For a statewide list of veterans offices click here or contact delast.muhammad@iecatlantaga.org.<\/p> <p>Another Veteran related program is VECTR, (GA Veterans Education Career Transition Resource Center) currently in Warner Robbins, GA.\u00a0 This program is an electrical pre-apprentice program for active duty military personnel, which prepares them to begin a career in the electrical industry.\u00a0 Again you find dedicated workers being processed through a channel that prepares and feeds candidates into the electrical industry.\u00a0 To find a graduate of this program contact Cole Ross at 478-218-3914.<\/p> <p>Also IEC is implementing its New Worker Training Program as another step for applicants interested in working with an IEC Contractor.\u00a0 Applicants learn tool and material safety, tool use and everything needed to hit the ground running on day one of their new job.\u00a0 This program is for applicants, as well as IEC contractor\u2019s employees that would like to prep more before allowing them to enter the field unprepared.\u00a0 IEC can send a trainer to the contractor\u2019s site, have new workers attend at our training facility, or contractors can subscribe to the module and train their own workers onsite.\u00a0 The first of graduates from this program will be at IEC\u2019s March 5<sup>th<\/sup> job fair.\u00a0 Contact <a vetted agencies to recruit quality workers.\u00a0 CEFGA has the Construction Ready Program which is a \u201cfour-week boot camp style training program designed for residents of metro Atlanta.\u201d\u00a0 Construction Ready has helped train and place over 1,000 graduates into full-time construction careers.\u00a0 Candidates pursuing the electrical field coming from Construction Ready can become valuable employees.<\/p> <p>The key here is that there is no one way to find the best worker, there are many paths to take as IEC takes on this task.\u00a0 IEC does so with these goals in mind, providing the resources to help IEC contractors meet their needs and exceed their business objectives. \u00a0\u00a0IEC will continue to seek out and offer candidates from pre-qualified
