A veces nos vemos obligados a adaptarnos a situaciones inc\u00f3modas, \u00a1y \u00e9se ha sido sin duda el caso de CV19! Cuando nos enfrentamos a estas situaciones, siempre tenemos dos opciones: adaptarnos o permanecer firmemente atrincherados. En nuestra situaci\u00f3n actual, no hemos tenido m\u00e1s remedio que adaptarnos. Y a veces, cuando nos adaptamos, nos damos cuenta de que la nueva situaci\u00f3n no es tan mala y, de hecho, puede ser preferible. Durante este tiempo, todos hemos tenido tiempo para reflexionar sobre las decisiones que hemos tomado y las que tomaremos en el futuro bas\u00e1ndonos en lo que sabemos ahora. En mi caso, me alegro de haber elegido viajar a distintos pa\u00edses y partes de Estados Unidos cuando lo hice. ESTADO DE LA INDUSTRIA<\/b>
Hablando tanto con contratistas locales como nacionales de IEC, los niveles de trabajo siguen manteni\u00e9ndose. Ha habido cierres de obras menores, pero los miembros siguen en sus puestos de trabajo. Los m\u00e1s afectados han sido los contratistas de servicios residenciales y, sin embargo, otros contratistas han visto un aumento del trabajo, como las escuelas, los centros de salud y los que prestan servicios esenciales, como las tiendas de comestibles y las plantas qu\u00edmicas. ACTUALIZACIONES DEL PROGRAMA DE APRENDIZAJE<\/b>
<\/b>IEC Atlanta comenzar\u00e1 a mediados de mayo una reapertura \"suave\" de las clases para ayudar a los aprendices en matem\u00e1ticas y preparaci\u00f3n de ex\u00e1menes. Los aprendices deber\u00e1n inscribirse en las sesiones de tutor\u00eda y se seguir\u00e1n estrictos protocolos de seguridad. En mayo tambi\u00e9n se impartir\u00e1 un curso de control de motores.
Como forma de mantenernos en contacto con los aprendices, ahora publicamos un bolet\u00edn mensual para ellos y el personal del CEI est\u00e1 disponible virtualmente al comienzo de cada clase y celebra peri\u00f3dicamente sesiones de foro abierto para que los aprendices puedan hacer preguntas.

to adapt or to stay firmly entrenched.\u00a0 In our present situation, we've had little choice but to adapt.\u00a0 And sometimes when we adapt, we realize that the new situation is not all that bad, and in fact, it may be preferred.\u00a0 During this time, we've all had some time to reflect upon the choices we have made, and what choices we'll make in the future based upon what we know now.\u00a0 For me, I'm glad that I've made the choices to travel to different countries and parts of the US when I did.\u00a0 I also know, that when I have the opportunity to travel again, I'll take it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p> <p><b>STATE OF THE INDUSTRY<\/b><br \/>In speaking both with local and national IEC contractors, work levels still continue to hold up.\u00a0There have been minor job closures, but members continue to remain on job sites.\u00a0The hardest hit have been residential service contractors, and yet other contractors have seen an increase in work such as schools, health care facilities and those supporting essential services such as grocery stores and chemical plants.\u00a0The biggest theme we have heard center around postponement of jobs that have been awarded, but not yet started.\u00a0Please keep us informed as you run into issues \u2013 <a href=\"mailto:niel.dawson@iecatlantaga.org\">niel.dawson@iecatlantaga.org<\/a><\/p> <p><strong>SAFETY RESOURCES<\/strong><br \/><strong>May 7th Panel Discusion <\/strong>on the Latest CV19 Workplace Safety & Health Updates -
