La conferencia ofreci\u00f3 muchas presentaciones sobre la contrataci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de la mano de obra.  Uno de los muchos puntos que me llev\u00e9 es que todos tenemos que trabajar juntos para conseguir m\u00e1s gente en la industria de la construcci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica. A medida que disminuye el n\u00famero de electricistas cualificados y capaces disponibles, es imperativo atraer, contratar y retener al mayor n\u00famero de personas dispuestas a unirse a esta gran industria.<\/p>\n<p>Varios elementos son clave para retener a la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de electricistas, y s\u00ed, probablemente ya lo hayas o\u00eddo antes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Contrate r\u00e1pidamente: cuando los contratistas reciban una solicitud, rev\u00edsela r\u00e1pidamente y p\u00f3ngase en contacto con la persona interesada. Procure que pasen entre 24 y 48 horas desde el momento en que reciba la solicitud; de lo contrario, es probable que el candidato se haya ido a otra empresa.<\/li>\n<li>Busque poblaciones diversas para cubrir sus necesidades de contrataci\u00f3n. Las poblaciones diversas ayudan a aumentar la reserva total de talento de la que elegir a su pr\u00f3ximo empleado.<\/li>\n<li>Utilice la lista de desempleados de la IEC - El personal de la IEC contin\u00faa buscando y atrayendo solicitantes para el Programa de Aprendizaje de la IEC. As the number of available qualified and capable electricians dwindle it is imperative to attract, hire and then retain as many people that are willing to join this great industry.<\/p> <p>Several items are key to retaining the next generation of electricians, and yes, you probably heard this before:<\/p> <ol> <li>Hire quickly \u2013 when contractors receive an application review it quickly and get in touch with the interested person. Shoot for 24-48 hours from the time you receive the inquiry, otherwise, the candidate has probably moved on to another prospective employer.<\/li> <li>Look to diverse populations to fill your hiring needs. Diverse populations help increase the total talent pool from which to choose your next employee.<\/li> <li>Use the IEC Out of Work List \u2013 IEC staff continues to seek and attract applicants to the IEC Apprenticeship Program.
