IEC Georgia Savannah Golf Tournament Hits at the Savannah Harbor Westin

1st Place

IEC Georgia hosted its annual Savannah Golf Tournament on Friday, May 2nd at the Club at Savannah Harbor Westin.  22 teams converged on these luxurious grounds ready for a day of networking and competitive golf.

As attendees made their rounds, there were a few who left a trail of “follow me to victory” in their wake.  Congratulations to the tournament winners!

  • 1st Place goes to team City of Savannah with Shawn Johnson, Brad Kirby, Danny Roberson and Tyler Wilson, earning a score of 58.
  • 2nd place goes to team BobCat with Andy Atkins, JD Hoft, Daniel Hudson and Brent Martin scoring 60.
  • 3rd place goes to team Southway Crane with Shan Crosby, Trey King, David Koneman and Lyn Leebern scoring 60 as well.
  • Tommy Rushing of Rushing Electric wins Closest to the Pin.
  • Tyler Wilson of City of Savannah- Southwire wins Longest Drive.

IEC GA Members Gather and Golf in Savannah, Georgia

IEC Georgia hosted its annual golf tournament on May 3rd at the Club at Savannah Harbor Westin in Savannah, GA.  This is the Georgia chapter’s 8th year hosting this event and it continues to get better every time!
22 teams arrived ready for a full exciting day of electrical industry networking and golfing.   The gorgeous weather and a multitude of IEC contractors, partner members and guests together shaped an environment for some competitive golfing and camaraderie.

Like at any golf tournament, when golfers golf, someone has to bring home the trophies!  Congratulations to the winners of IEC Savannah Georgia’s 8th annual golf tournament;

  • 1st place– Tim Hutching, Toshi Hirata, Wesley Olliff, and Johnny Haines of team Colony Bank, with a score of 58.
  • 2nd place– Keith Bowen, Shawn Rankin, John Ross, and Michael Florence of team ABB scoring a 60.
  • 3rd place– Brant Martin, Dusty Wilson, Daniel Hudson, and JD Hoff or team Bobcat coming in a tight 3rd with a score of 60.

The teams performed well and we have a couple of golfers that perform in a league of their own on the greens.  Congratulations to John Ross of ABB and Steve Crout of Crout Electric;

  • Longest Drive– Steve Crout of Crout Electric

IEC Members, Guests and Golf in Savannah

IEC Georgia Chapter held its Seventh Annual Savannah Golf Tournament on May 19th at The Club at Savannah Harbor Westin golf course.  The course, which has been called an 18-hole masterpiece, was the perfect backdrop for IEC’s networking and golf experience.  85 golfers entailing IEC members, partners and guests were in for a beautiful, and competitive day.

With a tee off of 9am, by the end of the tournament, four winning teams prevailed.  Congratulations to the teams and golfers that came out on top!

  • 1st Place- Team South Way Crane, with Shan Crosby, Trey King, David Koneman and Lyn Leebern scoring a 59.
  • 2nd Place- Tied by team Eaton with Steven Huppe, Capers Martin, Trey Storm and Aaron Von Lehmden and team 5 with Charlie Burkett, Steven Crout, Tom Kobe and Tommy Rushing. Both teams scored 60.
  • 3rd Place- Team ACE with Kevin Cowart, Greg Ferrar, Dale Flyth and Cole Young scoring 62.
  • Closest to the Pin- Congratulations to Greg Farrer of Ace Electric.
  • Longest Drive- Congratulations to Trey Storm of Eaton.

IEC Georgia Chapter and 22 Teams Golf at The Club at Savannah Quarters

IEC Georgia Chaptered hosted its 6th annual Savannah Golf Tournament on May 19th at the Club at Savannah Quarters in Pooler, GA.  This was a new location for the popular Savannah tournament, and the concensus is that it was quite an experience. 

The Savannah golf tournament accommodated 22 teams comprised of IEC contractors, partner members and guests.  Golfers teed off at 8:00 am for a competitive 18 holes on a private Greg Norman Signature Course.  It was a perfect landscape.

The end of the excursion delivered raffle prizes, lunch and trophies to the victors!  Congratulations to the winners of IEC’s 6th annual Savannah Golf Tournament.

  • 1st Place: Team CED/Legrand, Tom Kobe, Dusty Folker and Tom VanDehei -Score 57
  • 2nd Place: Team Saturn Freight SAV, Christian Eaddy, Tyler Muller, Robbie White and Josh Williams- Score 60
  • 3rd Place: Team Southway Crane & Rigging, Trey King, David Koreman, Lyn Leebum and Wesley Peebles- Score 61
  • Longest Drive: Palmer Prescott
  • Closest to the Pin: Trey Wilder
