Columbus is 1st Stop for Georgia Chapter Luncheons, Let’s Talk Productivity

IEC Georgia Chapter held the first of its four Luncheons targeting major Georgia chapter areas.  First stop, Columbus, Georgia where 20 attendees gathered at Longhorn Steakhouse for a presentation by Southwire.  “Thinking Differently Using Technology & Products on Your Jobsite” was the topic.  Thank you Allen Hooper of Southwire!

In addition to the informative session, a lot can happen in an IEC luncheon!  The CTA Director of Jordan High School College and Career Academy, Tim Vinson was onsite and shared an exciting development.  IEC will be moving its apprenticeship program to Jordan!

IEC contractor member Joshua Vandusseldorp, owner of Able Electric spoke about his recovery program operating for individuals who have been incarcerated.   Vandusseldorp has given those individuals opportunity and new lives, while growing his business.  He is working on a grant for the IEC program that allows these individuals to complete the IEC training.

Members meet and referrals can happen.  It’s about being with like-minded contractors and the right place at the right time.  We have 3 more sessions scheduled!  Savannah October 22nd, Augusta October 29th and Macon November 5th. These luncheons are sponsored by Southwire, The Sack Company and ACE Electric.
